MACHU PICCHU - Visit the Citadel

It is just below the citadel of Machu Picchu city. The train service arrives at Aguas Calientes and there are shops, markets and restaurants. From there you can visit the citadel of Machu Picchu by bus or walking the path.

MACHU PICCHU - Flora and Fauna

The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu has over 2,300 species of flora, of which the best known are the beautiful orchids and other native plants as the "flame called" the "Atiso" and "Intimpa".     There are two ways to go to Machu Picchu by plane.
    1. Fly to Lima (Jorge Chavez International Airport)
    2. Take a bus / plane from Lima to Cusco (18 hours per bus / 75 minute flight)

      • Airlines to Cusco: Lan, Taca, Peruvian Airlines and Star Peru.

      • Bus companies to Cusco: Cruz del Sur, Cial, Oltursa, Ormeño

    3. Take a bus / train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town)

      • Companies train to Aguas Calientes: Perurail or Inca Rail.
